Three decades ago, together with Academician A.P. Ershov is preparing the first domestic concept of informatization of education. Heading the laboratory "Telecommunications in Education" at the USSR Academy of Sciences, he creates the first in our country experimental educational telecommunications network MoSTNet. Academic Supervisor of many successful international and national school renovation projects. Author of more than 250 papers on the problems of informatization of education, pedagogical design and new pedagogical technologies.
